You may not have really thought about this before but studies have found that the people you spend most of your time with have a big influence on your health. If your friends are overweight for example, you’re more likely to be overweight yourself. Friends also influence your likelihood to exercise and do other healthy behaviours like drink alcohol in moderation and not smoke.
So although we can’t (and wouldn’t want to!) ditch all our less healthy friends, have a think about sharing your healthy goals with the people around you and getting them on board too.
