Fruit juice and smoothies are often the biggest culprits – certain drinks containing up to 13 tsp of sugar! What’s the solution? Nutritionists suggest always eating your fruit rather than drinking it. If you’re having a fruit drink, dilute it 50/50 with water or sparkling water. And get used to checking labels – if sugar is in the top three ingredients (they’re listed in order of quantity), put it down!
