Mediterranean health

A traditional Mediterranean diet has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and chronic diseases.


Mediterranean food consists largely of fruit, fish, vegetables and nuts and is rich in monounsaturated (good) fats. It has also been proven that a Mediterranean diet prevents symptoms such as sneezing, itching, nasal congestion, asthma and skin allergies; a study reported that children who ate nuts at least three times a week were less likely to wheeze.
