Feeling stressed?

A recent report has concluded that there has been a seven per cent rise in admissions for stress from May 2011 – May 2012 on the previous twelve month period. Hospitals in England had 6,370 admissions for stress related problems leading up to May 2012 compared to the 5,960 admissions in 2011.

The economic downturn has compromised careers and financial stability which have a direct affect on stress levels. Stress is normal and is a driving force in many cases. However, constantly feeling stressed can trigger illness and be counterproductive. Although everyone experiences and deals with stress differently, we can all develop a common resistance: Resilience.

Building a resilient frame of mind will combat stress and allow you to adapt your thoughts and responses in situations to produce the best possible outcome and as a consequence, less stress over time. Take the example of a rubber band; it can be stretched and distorted but when released, it retains its shape and elasticity. Become a rubber band…

Our “Stress and Resilience” programme will address your lifestyle and you will be assigned a personalised health coach to guide you to alleviate stress and live a happy, healthy life.
